ADMINISTRATION MEDICINAL THROUGH LINES SECONDARY VENOUS

A second intravenous line is an intravenous line that connects to complete a primary intravenous line already existing . Secondary intravenous line is used for intermittent or continuous Administration of drugs when kept throughout the main venous line for maintenance or other reasons . Antibiotics are the most common drugs that can be administered intermittently by venous side .   When connecting secondary infusion and wants to go it alone , it must be positioned above the primary .
If you want to go both infusions , they are positioned at the same level and pace set one and then the other . Also , infuzomatele injectomatele and venous lines can be used as the secondary intermittent or continuous administration , the advantage that the exact amount of medication may administer the dose .
Materials needed :

• prescribed medication

• special or ac adapter for attachment to the primary line

Prepare :

• check medication prescribed by the doctor

administration :
