ADMINISTRATION oral medications




As medicines are administered orally without the risk cheaper and more convenient method of administration , a large proportion of drug treatments are adminstrează in this way .
       Thus , in this manner therapies may be administered in the form of tablets, capsules , syrups , elixirs , suspensions, Oil pumps , granules, etc. . Some require specific preparation before Admin : oils , suspensions, granules .
       Most of the time, oral medication is prescribed at a dose greater than its parenterally because, absorption in the gastrointestinal tract , some of the medication is destroyed and removed by the liver before entering the systemic circulation.

         Normal oral drug dose for an adult can be dangerous for an elderly person or child. Oral therapy is contraindicated in patients unconscious , those who have vomiting and those who for various reasons can not swallow .

administration:
 carefully checked by a doctor prescribed medication and compared to that received by the pharmacy
